JOB DESCRIPTION ¹

The tasks a Pressman is expected to perform include:

Preparing for ironing operations
Ironing the garments
Folding the garment as per the customer specification

Certified training for Pressman (programme aligned to AMH/Q0401 released by Apparel Sector Skill Council)

KEY COMPETENCIES ¹

Familiar with the correct machine, tools and equipment
Knowledge of different types of garments and its ironing requirements
Familiar with the folding procedures applicable as per different garments
Knowledge about garment parts (pockets, fronts, backs, collars, cuffs, sleeves, etc.)

DESIRABLE COMPETENCIES ¹

Good communication skills
Good customer service
Able to work under high pressure
