JOB DESCRIPTION 1
The tasks an Electronic Hardware Design Engineer is expected to perform include: - Working with R&D team to develop and finalize the schematics as per customer requirements
- Converting the schematics to PCB layout using CAD and other software
- Creating the Gerber artwork file and passing it on to PCB manufacturers

- Work from home is not available
- Part-time jobs may be available in some cities
- Local travelling is not a part of this job role
| Working hours- Working is 8/9 hours every day for 6 days a week. This may vary from company to company

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING 1

Minimum – Preferably diploma

Certified training for Electronic Hardware Design Engineer (programme aligned to ELE/Q6102 released by Electronics Sector Skills Council of India)

KEY COMPETENCIES 1
- Proficient in developing PCB design as per customer specifications
- Knowledge of PCB design and layout tools
- Adept in using CADSTAR, Cadence or CAD & Allegro, AutoCAD LT, Eagle, Protel, Altium, AutoCAD, Hyper lynx and layout techniques for good signal integrity
- Adept in working on Mentor graphics, Valor NPI, DXDesigner and PADs with DXDatabook, CAD packages, CAM350 and other software for schematic capture
- Well-versed with PCB layout design placement, routing, Gerber verification, building library (footprints, schematic symbols), ERP systems, BOM structures, design for test (DFT) and design for manufacturability (DFM), foot-printing, Net listing, constraint setup
- Knowledge of PCB manufacturing process, fabrication drawings and assembly process
- Knowledge of design constraints and complete design cycle from understanding customer’s specifications to production
- Adept in debugging PCB designs while following quality standards associated with PCB design
- Knowledge of IPC standards on printed circuit boards
- Adept in installing and configuring software, RAID technology, servers and storage hardware
