JOB DESCRIPTION ¹

The task a Final Quality Inspector is expected to perform include:

Ensuring that the jewellery piece manufactured is as per design and is defect-free

WORK ENVIRONMENT ²

It is a desk job
Need not handle a team
Travelling is not required
Part-time work and contractual work is available
Work from home option is not available

Working hours

Most companies usually work for 6 days a week and 8 hours every day. This may vary from company to company.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING ¹

Minimum –10^th

KEY COMPETENCIES ¹

Basic reading and writing skills
Ability to match design picture to actual piece
Manual data entry/computer data entry
Knowledge of surface defects on jewellery such as skin porosity, scratches, burn marks, filing defects, etc.
Understanding of damaged findings such as weak clasps, loose links etc.
Understanding of surface textures and ability to differentiate defects and textures

DESIRABLE COMPETENCIES ¹

Weight estimation of diamonds and piece of jewellery
Presence of mind
Attention to detail
