JOB DESCRIPTION 1
The tasks a Cameraman, Animation is expected to perform include: 
  • Operating special camera to make animated cartoon motion picture film 
  • Discussing project with director and producer 
  • Rendering advice about camera movements and feasibility of variety of shot
  • Envisaging in script and chart, and suggesting alternatives 
  • Receiving animation charts and drawings
  • Setting and adjusting camera and lighting exposure
  • Installing frame on camera table
  • Positioning overhead camera
  • Shooting frame by frame in a predetermined sequence

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT 
  • It is not a desk job
  • Need to handle a team 
  • Local travelling is a part of this job role
  • Part-time work and contractual jobs maybe available
  • Work from home option is not available

 

Working hours
  • Media and Entertainment companies usually work for 5/6 days a week and 8/9 hours everyday. This may vary from company to company 
  • Shift system maybe available
  • Being self-employed is also an option. In this case, the working hours and days will be flexible

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING 2

Minimum – Preferably degree in television, film, photography, media studies or performing arts

  • Knowledge of technical abilities
  • Well-versed with photography, film or video work
  • Ability to listen and follow someone else's conceptual path
  • In-depth understanding of how camera equipment functions
