JOB DESCRIPTION 1

The tasks a Distributor Sales Representative is expected to perform include:

  • Generating sales for mobile handset and related accessories
  • Handling/Escalating retailers’complaints and queries
  • Meeting the sales goals as per organisation’s target matrix
  • Handling cash related transactions
  • Increasing width and depth of distribution network as per the Beat plan and Route plan
WORK ENVIRONMENT 
  • It needs one to be on their toes
  • Work from home option is not available
  • Part-time work and contractual jobs maybe available
  • Travelling is a part of the job
  • Need not handle a team
Working hours
  • Working hours include 8/10 hours everyday for 6 days a week. This may vary from company to company

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING 1
  • Minimum - Preferably 10+2 or equivalent
  • Certified training for Distributor Sales Representative (programme aligned to TEL/Q2100 released by Telecom Sector Skill Council)
KEY COMPETENCIES 1
  • Well-versed with current schemes and offers for the retailers
  • Knowledge of merchandising elements like danglers, flex boards, standees, etc.
  • Proficient with Route plan and Beat plan
  • Understanding of products on offer
  • Well-versed with payment collection and claim settlement process
  • Basics of commercial accounting like handling outstanding, cash, debit, credit, etc.
  • Knowledge of company’s product offerings vis-à-vis competitors’ product
