JOB DESCRIPTION 1
The tasks an Electronic Mechanics and Servicers, Others is expected to perform include:
  • Repairing electronic equipment, such as computers, industrial controls, radar systems, transmitters, and telemetering control systems, etc.
  • Testing faulty equipment
  • Diagnosing causes of malfunctioning of the equipment
  • Testing electronic components and circuits to locate defects
  • Replacing defective components, and wiring and adjusting mechanical parts
  • Aligning, adjusting and calibrating testing instruments
  • Maintaining records of repairs, calibrations and tests

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT 2

  • It is not a desk job

  • Need not handle a team

  • Local travelling is a part of this job role

  • Part-time work and contractual jobs are available in some cities

  • Work from home option is not available

Working hours

  • Electronic companies usually work for 5/6 days a week and 8/9 hours everyday. This may vary from company to company

  • Shift system maybe available

  • Being self-employed is also an option. In this case the working hours and days are flexible

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING 3

Minimum – ITI Graduate/Diploma

KEY COMPETENCIES 

  • Competent in repairing electronic equipment, such as computers, industrial controls, radar systems, transmitters, and telemetering control systems

  • Well-versed in using hand tools and test instruments

  • Proficient in testing faulty equipment

  • Knowledge of replacing defective components wiring

  • Proficiency in maintaining records of repairs, calibrations and test
