JOB DESCRIPTION ¹

The tasks an Aircraft Cargo Handling Supervisor is expected to perform include:

Directing ground crew in the loading, unloading, securing and staging of aircraft cargo or baggage
Determining the quantity and orientation of cargo and computes aircraft centre of gravity
Calculating load weights for different aircraft compartments, using charts and computers
Distributing cargo in such a manner that space use is maximised
Accompanying aircraft as a member of the flight crew in order to monitor and handle cargo in flight
Briefing aircraft passengers on safety and emergency procedures

WORK ENVIRONMENT ¹

It is not a desk job
The candidate will supervise a team of Ground Crew
Local travelling is necessary
Part-time work and contractual jobs are not available
Work from home option is not available

Working hours

Companies usually work for 6/7 days a week and 8/9 hours everyday. This may vary from company to company
Shift system maybe available

Minimum – MBA/B.E./B. Tech

Skilled in adopting the best possible way to load, unload and perform other operations on a cargo
Ability to guide the workers in doing their work safely
Knowledge of different kind of material and taking necessary precautions accordingly
Skilled in maintaining record and fulfilling all the formalities of the material handled
Ability to keep at bay, all the necessary equipment required to handle a cargo
