JOB DESCRIPTION 1
The tasks aBlower Helper (Glass)is expected to perform include:
  • Assistingblowerin the manufacturing of glass articles
  • Dipping bubble prepared on blowpipe by bubble maker intomolten glass
  • Gathering required quantity ofmolten glass for type of article to be made
  • Rolling gathered glass in cup-shaped metallic plate
  • Spreading molten glass in metallic plate containing oil and waterfor it to bubble uniformly
  • Taking blowpipe with glass bubble, and handing over blowpipe to blower for blowing desired article
WORK ENVIRONMENT 2
  • It requires one to be on theirtoes
  • Need not handle a team
  • Local travelling is not a part of this job role
  • Part-time work and contractual jobs are available in some cities
  • Work from home option is not available
Working hours
  • Factories usually work for 6 days a week and 8/10 hours everyday. This may vary from factory to factory
  • Shift system maybe available
  • Being self-employed is an option. In this case, working hours and days are flexible

  • Knowledge of designing, producing and finishing different types of decorative pieces 
  • Proficient in working with molten glass
  • Well-versed withusing decorative techniques
  • Ability to restore, renovate and repair original pieces 
  • Knowledge of kiln forming and slumping glass into a mould
  • Ability to mould required glass products when necessary
