JOB DESCRIPTION 1

The tasks a Carpet Embosser is expected to perform include:

  • Trimming the edges of floral designs or patterns on carpets to give a raised appearance
  • Spreading the carpet on an even surface
  • Cutting wool on floral designs with hand scissors to give a raised appearance to the design
  • Chalking around or stencilling the outline of designs on carpets and creating an embossed effect by clipping wool either wholly under or wholly outside the design
WORK ENVIRONMENT 
  • It is a not a field job
  • Need not handle a team
  • Local travelling is not a part of this job
  • Part-time work and contractual jobs are available in some cities
  • Work from home option is not available
Working hours
  • Being self-employed is an option. In this case, the working hours and days will be flexible
  • Factories usually work for 6 days a week and 8/10 hours everyday. This may vary from factory to factory
  • Shift system maybe available
