JOB DESCRIPTION ¹

The tasks a Filler, Aerated Water, Hand Machine is expected to perform include:

• Operating manually controlled filling machines to fill carbonated water in the bottles

• Filling the crown or marble stopper bottles with the prescribed quantity of purified water

• Opening the lid of the machine and placing filled bottles in the single or multi-chambers of the filling machine

• Operating the valve to let in carbon dioxide gas from the cylinders into the filled bottles, at the particular pressure

• Rotating the machine by hand, and giving the specified number of rotations to the machine to obtain correct carbonation

• Checking up on the carbonation by opening the lid, whenever necessary

• Removing the carbonated water bottles from the machine and handing them over for crowning (sealing)

• Attending to the repair and maintenance of the machine

WORK ENVIRONMENT ¹

• It is not a desk job

• Need not handle a team

• Local travelling is not a part of this job role

• Part-time work and contractual jobs maybe available

• Work from home option is not available

Working hours

• Companies usually work for 6/7 days a week and 8/10 hours everyday. This may vary from company to company

• Shift system maybe available

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING ⁴

• Knowledge of production processes and quality control

• Ability to troubleshoot the machine when required

• Knowledge of the relevant tools and equipment

• Knowledge of the different parameters like pressure, etc.

• Skilled in operating valves

• Skilled in operating filling machine for drinks
