JOB DESCRIPTION 1

The tasks a Hair Care Trainer is expected to perform include:

  • Conducting hair care training
  • Performing various hair care services like basic blow drying of hair, scalp massage, hair spa, haircut and styling, etc. 
  • Coaching and supporting participants 
  • Managing and leading a team of professionals and helpers ​

Working hours

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING 1
  • Preferably, 10th
  • Certified training in Hair Care Trainer (program aligned to BWS/Q0210 released by Beauty and Wellness Sector Skill Council)​
KEY COMPETENCIES 1
  • Prepare and maintain the work area 
  • Ability to perform various hair care services like basic blow dry of hair, ​shampoo and condition the hair and scalp, scalp massage, hair spa, haircut, ​​hair styling and hair dressing, etc. ​
  • Proficient in delivering hair care training 
  • Ability to support and coach participants 
  • ​Well-versed in managing and leading a team ​of professionals and helpers 
  • Knowledge of types of products, materials and equipment required for the treatment
  • Knowledge of process and products to sterilize and disinfect equipment/tools
  • Knowledge of the structure, function, characteristics of hair types
DESIRABLE COMPETENCIES 1
  • Communication skills
  • Interpersonal​ skills
  • Time management skills 
  • Certified training for Level 5 Hair Stylist 
  • Intrinsic ability to assimilate and impart knowledge to the learners 
  • Certification in blow dry, shampoo and conditioning of hair, cut and style, colour and lighten, perm and neutralize and hair relaxation techniques 
  • Course in hair products
  • Course in structure, function and characteristics of hair types ​
