JOB DESCRIPTION 1

The tasks a Senior Cosmetic Dermatology Technician is expected to perform include:

  • Providing skincare using facial electrotherapy, epilation services, laser and light treatment, micro-pigmentation, facial electrotherapy, skin peeling and needling, etc.  
  • Consulting and advising the customers
  • Managing and leading a team of professionals and helpers 
  • Promoting and selling services and products

  • Need to handle a team of professionals and helpers 
  • Local travelling is not a part of this job role
  • Part-time work and contractual jobs may be available

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING 1
  • Preferably, 12th
  • ​Certified training for ​Senior Cosmetic Dermatology Technician​ (programme aligned to BWS/Q0502​ released by Beauty and Wellness Skill Sector Council)
KEY COMPETENCIES 1
  • Ability to prepare and maintain the work area 
  • Well-versed with performing skincare treatments and services like facial electrotherapy, epilation services, micro-dermabrasion​​, cosmetic skin peel and skin needling, micro-pigmentation, laser and light treatment, etc. 
  • Skilled in consulting and advising customers 
  • ​Competent to manage and lead a team of professionals and helpers 
  • ​​Ability to promote and sell services and products 
  • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pathology for skin treatments
  • Knowledge of principles and practice of skin therapies
  • Knowledge of basic ailments, contraindications, contra actions, treatment plans, etc. 
  • Knowledge of products used with EMS , galvanic, lymphatic drainage unit, hi frequency and micro current
DESIRABLE COMPETENCIES 1
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Communication skills
  • Certified training in Level 4 Cosmetic Dermatology Technician or advanced diploma in beauty therapy
