JOB DESCRIPTION 2

The tasks a Farmer, Poultry Breeding is expected to perform include:  

  • Selecting and purchasing pure bred fowls according to egg production, size, prizes won, etc.
  • Pairing birds for breeding, either naturally or through artificial insemination
  • Feeding and watering poultry   
  • Cleaning and disinfecting poultry houses, cages, and nests
  • Vaccinating the poultry and other fowl
  • Inspecting and disposing or segregating infected poultry   
  • Collecting, inspecting and packing eggs
  • Maintaining growth, feed, and production records   
  • Hiring and supervising workers
  • Incubating fertile eggs   
  • Arranging with wholesalers for sale of pedigreed poultry and eggs

  • Proficient in basic arithmetic
