JOB DESCRIPTION 1

The tasks a Clutch Specialist is expected to perform include:

  • Repairing and replacing the clutch assembly and related parts
  • Performing routine maintenance of various components within the clutch assembly
  • Examining and tending the pressure plate or clutch plate
WORK ENVIRONMENT 1, 2, 4
  • It is a field job
  • May need to handle a team of Floor Technicians or Specialists
  • Travelling is a part of this job role
  • Part-time work and contractual jobs may be available
  • Work from home option is not available
Working hours
  • Organizations usually work for 5/6 days a week for 8/9 hours everyday. This may vary from organization to organization
  • Shift system may be available
  • Overtime may be required

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING 1
  • Preferably, 10th or ITI in Automobile
  • Certified training for Clutch Specialist (programme aligned to ASC/Q 1415 released by Automotive Skills Development Council)

  • Efficient in planning and organizing work to meet expected outcomes
  • Skilled in identifying the repair needs in the clutch assembly and aggregates
  • Familiarity with the replacement process of the clutch assembly and related components
  • Knowledge of maintaining a safe and healthy working environment at the workplace
  • Ability to staying abreast with the latest technological advancements
DESIRABLE COMPETENCIES 1
  • On-the-job training is optional for ASDC Clutch Specialist Certificate or diploma holder in Automotive Repair
  • Compulsory on-the-job training for candidates with any other qualification apart from ASDC Clutch Specialist Certificate or diploma
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Competent driving skills
