JOB DESCRIPTION
The tasks an Automated Optical Inspection Operator is expected to perform include:

Testing the printed circuit board by using the AOI Machine
-
Programming and operating AOI machine
-
Conducting visual and automated checks for scratches stains, thinning solder, missing components, incorrect placing, etc.

Undertaking preventive machine maintenance
-
Achieving quality and productivity as per the standards

Working hours
-
Working hours are 9 hours every day for 6 days a week

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING
-
Minimum – Preferably ITI graduate
-
Certified training for Automated Optical Inspection Operator (programme aligned to ELE/Q6601 released by Electronics Sector Skills Council)

KEY COMPETENCIES
-
Proficiency in different stages of inspection such as bare board, solder paste, component placement prior to reflow, post-reflow component condition, post reflow solder joints, distorted components, reversed polarity, solder bridges, volume defects, damage or contamination
-
Familiar with different types of inspection and testing set up and their purposes such as stand-alone and inline, closed and open top, in-circuit, AOI and combined AOI/AXI machines

Competent in debugging, schematics, PCB design, assembly process, wire diagram and interpretation of technical drawings
