JOB DESCRIPTION 1

The tasks a Capping Operator is expected to perform include:

  • Punching caps by press fitting the welded caps to the ceramic rod
  • Ensuring conformance to specifications by checking the fitted cap visually
  • Delivering product to next work process on time as per production schedule
  • Carrying out preventive maintenance of equipment as per specifications

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING 1
  • Preferably, 10th/12th
  • Certified training for Capping Operator (programme aligned to ELE/Q0107 released by Electronics Sector Skills Council)
KEY COMPETENCIES 1
  • Proficiency in operating capping or toggle press machine and equipment
  • Proficiency in using hand tools required to perform capping manually
  • Knowledge of capping positioning techniques and other requirements
  • Knowledge of basic concepts of electronics and component identification
  • Knowledge of properties of raw materials, production processes, quality control and cost
  • Knowledge of working of machines and tools including their design, use, repair and maintenance
  • Knowledge of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD), 5S system, Ohms value and tolerances
  • Computer literacy and ability to read production schedules, job sheets and operation manuals​​
