JOB DESCRIPTION ¹

The tasks a CCTV Installation Technician is expected to perform include:

Installing the CCTV system at the customer’s premises
Understanding customer’s requirement and site conditions
Performing service/installation of access control, intrusion alarm, closed circuit television systems and other various security-related systems
Integrating the hardware for effective CCTV surveillance system functioning
Executing upgrades and additions to systems in order to increase functionality and usability

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING ¹

Preferably, ITI graduate
Certified training for CCTV Installation Technician (programme aligned to ELE/Q4605 released by Electronics Sector Skills Council of India)

KEY COMPETENCIES ¹

Proficient in selecting the proper type of cable and performing installation of CCTV
Well-versed with computer, networks and information technology-related systems
Knowledge of various types of CCTVs
Proficient with basic electronics involved in hardware
Knowledge of electrical wiring
Adept at using different types of electronic surveillance products and functionalities
Knowledge of equipment in the market, their specifications and prices
Well-versed with camera specifications such as focus, lens type, zoom
Knowledge of power requirement of different CCTV-related equipment
