JOB DESCRIPTION 1

The tasks a CCTV Installation Technician is expected to perform include:

  • ​Installing the CCTV system at the customer’s premises
  • Understanding customer’s requirement and site conditions
  • Performing service/installation of access control, intrusion alarm, closed circuit television systems and other various security-related systems
  • Integrating the hardware for effective CCTV surveillance system functioning
  • Executing  upgrades and additions to systems in order to increase functionality and usability

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING 1
  • Preferably, ITI graduate
  • Certified training for CCTV Installation Technician (programme aligned to ELE/Q4605 released by Electronics Sector Skills Council of India)

KEY COMPETENCIES 1
  • Proficient in selecting the proper type of cable and performing installation of CCTV
  • Well-versed with computer, networks and information technology-related systems
  • Knowledge of various types of CCTVs
  • Proficient with basic electronics involved in hardware
  • Knowledge of electrical wiring
  • Adept at using different types of electronic surveillance products and functionalities
  • Knowledge of equipment in the market, their specifications and prices
  • Well-versed with camera specifications such as focus, lens type, zoom
  • Knowledge of power requirement of different CCTV-related equipment
