JOB DESCRIPTION 1
The tasks a Field Technician: Other Home Appliances is expected to perform include:

Installing the newly purchased appliance

Diagnosing the problem for a malfunction

Assessing possible causes

Rectifying minor problems
-
Replacing faulty modules for failed parts
-
Recommending factory repairs for bigger faults

WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Local travelling may be a part of this job role
- Part-time work and contractual jobs are available in some cities
- Work from home is not available
| Working hours- Working hours are 8/9 hours everyday for 5/6 days a week. This may vary from company to company
- Being self-employed is also an option. In this case, the working hours and days will be flexible
- Shift system may be applicable

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING 1
- Minimum – Preferably 8th standard pass
- Certified training for Field Technician: Other Home Appliances (programme aligned to ELE/Q3104 released by Electronics Sector Skills Council of India)

KEY COMPETENCIES 1

Knowledge of company’s products and recurring problems reported in consumer appliances

Well-versed on how to communicate with customers in order to put them at ease

Proficient in basic electrical and mechanical modules of various appliances

Familiar with models of different appliances and their common and distinguishing features

Adept in precautions to be taken while handling field calls and dealing with customers
-
Familiar with the etiquette to be followed at customers’ premises
-
Knowledge of functionality of different features of appliances and new features

EXPECTED EARNINGS 2
- For freshers - ₹ 7,000 to ₹ 9,000 per month
- For candidates with 1/2 years’ experience - ₹ 9,000 to ₹ 11,000 per month
- For candidates with over 2 years’ experience – ₹ 11,000 to ₹ 15,000 per month
