JOB DESCRIPTION 1

The tasks an Analyst is expected to perform include:

  • Identifying the client’s business requirements and translating them into technology requirements
  • Advising clients on IT strategy, architecture and governance needs
  • Identifying user problems/needs, their resources and determining possible solutions
  • Participating in the development, installations and testing of application software
  • Establishing roles and responsibilities in supporting As-Is analysis for IT projects
  • Extracting relevant data/information from documents/artefacts received from the client
  • Recording and reviewing the information generated
  • Undertaking research to identify opportunities and constraints for IT projects in the company
  • Analysing relevant opportunities and constraints to identify optimal To-Be situations

  • It is a desk job
  • Does not require supervising a team 
  • Local travelling is not part of the job

Working hours

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING 1
  • Preferably, Bachelor’s Degree in Science/Technology/Computers/Business
  • Certified training for Analyst (programme aligned to SSC/ Q 0701 released by IT – ITeS SSC NASSCOM)
KEY COMPETENCIES 1
  • Knowledge of As-Is analysis and To-Be situations
  • Skilled in extracting information from the available data
  • Knowledge of different ways of structuring information suitable for analysis
  • Ability to present To-Be situations in different ways
  • Skilled in formulating different types of roadmaps to achieve To-Be situations
  • Skilled in conducting primary research
  • Knowledge of various technology trends and processes in the IT industry
  • Knowledge of the technology environment, industry best practice and trends
