JOB DESCRIPTION 1

The tasks a Fleshing Operator is expected to perform include:

  • Mechanically scraping off excessive organic material from the hide

  • Liming and un-hairing of the hide

WORK ENVIRONMENT 2

  • It is not a desk job

  • Working from home option is not available

  • Contractual work option is available

  • Need to handle a team of Helpers

  • Travelling is not part of the job

Working hours

  • Working is for 5/6 days a week and 8 hours every day. This may vary from company to company.

  • Shift system maybe available

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING 1
  • Minimum –  5th standard
  • Certified training for Fleshing Operator (programme aligned to LSS / QO601 released by Leather Sector Skill Council)

  • Equipped to handle fleshing machines
  • Well-versed about the functions of various components of the machine
  • Proficient in checking if the output has met the required specification
  • Equipped to perform necessary cleaning and maintenance activities
  • Proficient to handle hides and materials and avoid making them unusable
  • Skilled in equipment operating procedures
