JOB DESCRIPTION 1
The tasks an Architect is expected to perform include:
  • Preparing designs for construction of buildings, monuments, etc.
  • Estimating cost and coordinating functional and organizational details for execution 
  • Collecting information from the client about requirements 
  • Preparing detailed drawings with the help of Draughtsman, Architectural
  • Preparing specifications regarding flooring, finish, architectural features etc., 
  • Estimating cost and quantities of materials required 
  • Guiding, supervising and inspecting construction work 
  • Consulting Engineers and Specialists and getting light and power fittings, sanitary fittings, etc. done by them 
  • Specialising in landscape architecture
  • Approving payment on correct execution of work
 

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT 2
  • It is not a desk job
  • Needs to handle a team of Designers
  • Local travelling is a part of this job role
  • Part-time work and contractual jobs are available in some cities
  • Work from home option is not available

 

Working hours

  • Construction companies usually work for 5/6 days a week and 8/9 hours everyday. This may vary from company to company

  • Shift system is not available

  • Being self-employed is also an option. In this case, the working hours and days will be flexible

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING 

Minimum – Bachelor of Architecture (B. Arch)

KEY COMPETENCIES 3
  • Experience in advisory of cloud computing, or migration projects
  • Technical assessment to migrate/move application cloud
  • Expertise in conducting rigorous quantitative analyses to generate insights
  • Knowledge about creating "To-Be" application architecture blueprints and roadmaps 
  • Should have experience of managing application rationalizing projects right from planning to execution
  • Proven experience in client interfacing, relationship management, cross team co-ordination
 

 

DESIRABLE COMPETENCIES 3

Competent  to create own methodologies, frameworks, templates etc. for application decommissioning and ability to defend solutions and proposals
