JOB DESCRIPTION 1
The tasks an Embosser, Leather is expected to perform include:
  • Operating the machine to imprint designs on leather or leather articles such as wallets, cushions and key cases
  • Selecting specified embossing plate, bolting plates into chase, positioning and securing them into the ram of machine
  • Turning the switch or steam valve to heat plate to specified temperature according to type of leather
  • Pulling the lever to lowers ram and impress designs on leather or article 
  • Making bed for embossing plate using cardboard and paper

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT 2
  • It needs one to be on their toes
  • Need not handle a team
  • Local travelling is not a part of this job role
  • Part-time work and contractual jobs are available
  • Work from home option is not available

 

Working hours

  • Factories usually work for 6 days a week for 8 hours everyday. This may vary from factory to factory

  • Shift system is available

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING 2

Minimum – 8th pass

  • Knowledge of thickness of leather

  • Proficient in ensuring that the pressure put to emboss is adequate
