JOB DESCRIPTION 1
The tasks an Examiner, (Footwear) is expected to perform include:
  • Examining footwear and unfinished shoes and shoe components for faults
  • Inspecting items for defects such as irregularity of surface, misplaced or incompletely driven tracks, uneven or defective stitching, improperly proportioned toe-tip
  • Returning items with major defects for reprocessing
  • Correcting minor defects with hand tools

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT 2
  • It needs one to be on their toes
  • Needs to handle a team
  • Local travelling is not necessary
  • Contractual jobs are not available
  • Work from home option is not available

 

Working hours

  • Factories usually work for 6 days a week for 8 hours every day. This may vary from factory to factory

  • May have to work in shifts

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING 2

Minimum –10th pass

KEY COMPETENCIES 2

  • Knowledge of all shoe designing, different patterns

  • Knowledge of threads, needles, etc.

  • Well versed in stitching measurements

  • Proficient in handling machinery and materials

  • Well versed in handling equipment and its operating procedures

  • Proficient  in following work instructions

  • Good mathematical skills

  • Knowledge of different measuring tools like scale, measuring gauge, divider, etc.
