JOB DESCRIPTION ¹

The tasks a Heel Attacher, Hand (Footwear) is expected to perform include:

Fixing leather and rubber heels to shoes by driving nails with a hammer

Collecting heels to be attached according to size and shape of shoes

Selecting well pointed nails of required size

Setting shoes on iron last with sole upward

Placing heel on shoe and adjusting the position

Driving nails with hammer through heel and heel-seat to clinch them to insole

Checking frequently while nailing and ensuring proper nailing and adjustment of heel to insole

Trimming off edges of heels with knife to give desired shape

WORK ENVIRONMENT

It is a desk job but one needs to be on their toes

Need not handle a team

Local travelling is not a part of this job role

Part-time work and contractual jobs are available

Work from home option is not available

Working hours

Factories usually work for 6 days a week for 8 hours everyday. This may vary from factory to factory

Shift system maybe available
