JOB DESCRIPTION 1

 The tasks a Chemist, Industrial is expected to perform include:

  • Analysing samples of heavy chemicals, hydrogenation of oils, fertilizers, cosmetics, etc.
  • Studying chemical properties of raw ingredients, chemical reactions being effected and composition of final product​
  • Applying findings in collaboration with Production Manager and Chemical Engineer
  • Prescribing rate of feeding of raw materials
  • Testing samples at different stages of production
  • Regulating chemical reactions by various processes such as application or pressure or vacuum, introduction of catalyst, evaporation and filtration
  • Testing samples of final product and making any needed adjustments in manufacture process to maintain prescribed standards
WORK ENVIRONMENT 1, 3
  • It is not a field job
  • Need not handle a team
  • Local travelling is not a part of this job
  • Part-time work and contractual jobs are available in some cities
  • Work from home option is not available
Working hours
  • Organizations usually work for 6 days a week and 8/9 hours everyday. This may vary from organization to organization

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING 2

Preferably, B Sc. in Chemistry
