JOB DESCRIPTION ¹

The tasks a Crane Driver, Hammer Head is expected to perform include:

Operating power-driven hammer-head crane consisting of fixed jib, with lifting equipment attached to trolley that can be moved on rails along jib, forward or backward, as necessary

Switching on power supply

Checking jib and cables for security and serviceability

Operating controls to swing, raise or lower jib and to place lifting tackle for load to be attached

Raising, moving and lowering load to desired position

Operating crane observing signals from workers on ground to obtain position of jib and lifting hook

Instructing and supervising helpers in cleaning, greasing and oiling machinery

WORK ENVIRONMENT

It is a field job

May need to handle a team

Local travelling is not a part of this job

Part-time work and contractual jobs are available in some cities

Work from home option is not available

Working hours

Mining companies usually work for 6 days a week and 8/10 hours every day. This may vary from company to company

Minimum - Bachelor of Technology/Bachelor of Engineering
