The tasks a Director, Well Drilling is expected to perform include:

Planning, directing and coordinating activities within powers delegated

Handling activities of public or private organization engaged in drilling, sinking deep wells and operating wells for extraction of mineral oil, natural gas, etc.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Need not handle a team

Local travelling is not a part of this job

Working hours

Mining companies usually work for 6 days a week and 8/10 hours everyday. This may vary from company to company

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING

Minimum - Degree in Mining Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemical Technology or Metallurgy

KEY COMPETENCIES

Knowledge of developing strategies for the rapidly changing market

Proficient in weighing consequences before making strategic moves or important moves

Knowledge of mining operations, regulations and products

Well-versed with software like MS Word, Power point, MS Excel, CRM, etc.

Knowledge of technology integration and change management skills

Well-versed with drilling, sinking deep wells and operating wells for extraction of mineral oil, natural gas, etc.

Knowledge of legal norms and sensitivities involved in contracts and agreements
