JOB DESCRIPTION 1

The tasks a Booking Clerk, Recreation is expected to perform include:

  • Issuing tickets to public on cash payment in theatres, cinemas, exhibitions, etc. at booking counters
  • Attending to enquiries for type or class of tickets required or for advance booking of seats
  • Issuing tickets or reservation slips for required class of accommodation
  • Maintaining record of sale proceeds, showing entertainment-tax collected separately
  • Depositing cash and unsold tickets to supervisor at close of show
  • Maintaining chart of available seats and indicating seat number on each ticket
WORK ENVIRONMENT 1, 2
  • It is a desk job
  • Need not handle a team
  • Local travelling is not part of this job role
  • Part-time work and contractual jobs are available

Working hours
  • Individuals usually works for 5/6 days a week and 8/9 hours everyday. This may vary from organization to organization
