JOB DESCRIPTION 1

The tasks a Handwork Teacher/Teacher, Art and Craft is expected to perform include:

  • Imparting training to school students in handwork and handicraft
  • Teaching and developing sense of colour combinations, forms and shapes and three dimension visualization in students
  • Instructing students in handicrafts such as modelling, fret work, clay work, cutting forms and shapes in cardboards, paper and plywood, toy making, designing simple artistic and decorative pieces, etc.
  • Instructing students in drawing and art subjects
WORK ENVIRONMENT 1, 2
  • It is not a desk job
  • Need not handle a team
  • Local travelling is not a part of this job role
  • Part-time work and contractual jobs may be available

Working hours
  • Schools usually work for 5/6 days a week and 7/8 hours everyday. This may vary from school to school
