JOB DESCRIPTION 1

The tasks an Historian is expected to perform include:

  • Studying, interpreting and preparing chronological records for dealing with past and current events connected with the origin and progress of a nation, state, region, institution, etc.
  • Visiting places of historical importance, collecting historical data from different sources such as archives, court records, diaries, files and other published and unpublished materials
  • Evaluating data on authenticity and relative significance
  • Assembling historical data in a systematic form and relating them to the time, place and sequence of cause and effects
  • Aiming at the objective statement of facts and writing history in a narrative form from the assembled data to denote events as they occurred​
  • Conducting research of historical importance​
