The tasks a Fluid Management Operator: Rolling Mills is expected to perform include:
• Preparing, supplying, collecting, evaluating and operating fluids connected with rolling operation in steel plant
• Ensuring the right quality and quantity of the fluid
• Operating the fluid system and managing its inventory
• Maintaining waste fluid disposal and taking care of basic maintenance activities associated with maintaining the system
• Collecting samples of both process, fluids and product in order to assess mill performance and stability of the process along with in-process product quality
• Managing the entire fluid system in rolling mills
• Maintaining and monitoring the relevant parameters and re-circulation of fluids
• Managing the incoming supply of fluid and disposal of waste process fluid for treatment
• Practicing health, safety and security measures
• Understanding the risks and hazards in the workplace, along with common techniques to minimizse risk, dealing with accidents, emergencies, etc.
