JOB DESCRIPTION 1

The tasks a Chief Navigator, Aircraft is expected to perform include:

  • Controlling and supervising work of Check Navigator
  • Advising management on feasibility of undertaking flights on new routes
  • Checking logbook maintained by Navigator
  • Examining reports compiled by Check Navigator on work performance and efficiency of Navigator​

  • It is mostly a desk job 
  • Need to handle a team of Check Navigators
  • Local travelling may be a part of this job
  • Part-time work and contractual jobs may be available
  • Work from home option is not available
Working hours
  • Individual usually works for 5/6 days a week and 8/9 hours everyday. The organization or institution remains open and functional for 24 hours a day and 7 days a week
  • Shift system may be available

  • Proficient in maintaining navigational charts and maps
  • Well-versed with making recommendations regarding purchase and installation of latest navigational equipment
  • Adept in checking work of Check Navigator and Navigator by surprise visits
