JOB DESCRIPTION 1
The tasks a Traffic Time Table Inspector, Tram is expected to perform include:
  • Preparing schedules for the running of the trams, allocating duties to the staff and ensuring their implementation
  • Examining old schedules, complaints or suggestions received for deficiencies in working
  • Examining the need for introducing more trams or curtailing service on less important routes
  • Recommending a change in schedules, indicating changes in route and the number of trams plying on them
  • Preparing a revised duty chart for running staff and compiling the mileage and fare tables
  • Attending to public enquiries regarding the timings, fares etc.
WORK ENVIRONMENT 
  • It needs one to be on their toes
  • Need not handle a team
  • Local travelling is not a part of this job role
  • Part-time work and contractual jobs are available in some cities
  • Work from home option is not available
Working hours
  • Working hours are 8 hours everyday for 6 days a week
  • Shift system is available
  • Overtime is available

Minimum - 10th pass or ITI

KEY COMPETENCIES 1
  • Proficient in recommending changes in the schedules, indicating changes in the routes and number of trams plied on them
  • Adept at preparing revised duty charts for the running staff and compiling mileage and fare tables
  • Well-versed in attending to enquiries from the public in connection with timings, fares etc.
