JOB DESCRIPTION 1
The tasks an Adjuster, Relays is expected to perform include:
  • Testing and adjusting relays (electrical equipment) that are used for controlling the flow of electric current
  • Setting the relay on the testing table
  • Checking the flow of current, insulation and condition of various components
  • Repairing or replacing the defective parts
  •  Cleaning, aligning and measuring the gap between contact points
  •  Settings the clearance to the specified standard by tightening or loosening the screws, nuts and bolts
  •  Setting the tension of the relay springs
  •  Connecting the new or adjusted relay to the test board
  •  Switching on the records flow of the current by meter reading 
  •  Adjusting the spring tension and the gap between the relay contacts to flow
  •  Maintaining records and cleaning the relay periodically
  •  Winding the primary and the secondary coils
WORK ENVIRONMENT 1
  •  It is not a desk job
  •  Need not handle a team
  •  Local travelling is not a part of this job role
  •  Part-time work and contractual jobs maybe available
  •  Work from home option is not available
Working hours
  •  Companies usually work for 5/6 days a week and 8/9 hours everyday. This may vary from company to company
  •  Shift system maybe available

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING 4
  •  Minimum – Graduate from ITI

  •  Skilled in adjusting relays (electrical equipment) 
  •  Knowledge of controlling the flow of electric current
  •  Skilled in setting up the relay on the testing table
  •  Proficient in checking the flow of current and insulation 
  •  Ability to check the condition of various components
  •  Skilled in attaining all the settings according to the specified standard
  •  Ability to properly work with screws, nuts and bolts Proficient in winding both the primary as well as the secondary coils
  •  Physically fit
