JOB DESCRIPTION ¹

The tasks a Designer, Leather Articles is expected to perform include:

• Developing designs and cutting patterns for small leather articles

• Studying designs of leather products from catalogues

• Considering purpose, market trend, preference of potential users, technical specifications and developing improvements or new designs keeping economic aspects and method of production in view

• Preparing sketches showing style, shape, size and similar characteristics of product

• Submitting the sketches to the management or customer for approval

• Altering designs, if necessary

• Making technical drawings, models and prototype patterns

WORK ENVIRONMENT ¹

• It is a desk job

• Need not handle a team

• Local travelling is not a part of this job role

• Part-time work and contractual jobs maybe available

• Work from home option is not available

Working hours

• Companies usually work for 5/6 days a week and 8/9 hours everyday. This may vary from company to company

• Shift system maybe available
