JOB DESCRIPTION ¹

The tasks a Doll Maker is expected to perform include:

Performing one or more hand or machine tasks in the making of moulded or stuffed dolls or stuffed toys
Moulding doll parts from composition material by operating a press or stuffing previously sewn parts with cotton to give them shape
Fastening the legs and arms on to the torso
Affixing artificial eyes in the head
Securing the head to the shoulders by means of a shank collar so that the head may be turned at will
Dressing the dolls by hand with under and outer garments
Fastening the garments with hooks, buttons or ribbons

WORK ENVIRONMENT ³

It requires one to sit and work
Need not handle a team
Local travelling is not a part of this job
Part-time work and contractual jobs are available in some cities
Work from home option is not available

Working hours

Handicraft and carpet units usually work for 6 days a week and 8/10 hours every day. This may vary from unit to unit
Shift system maybe available
