JOB DESCRIPTION ¹

The tasks a Looper, Metal Drawing is expected to perform include:

• Passing the rod through a series of rolls to reduce it in to wire of the required specifications

• Watching the approach of the rod, holding it with a pair of tongs and directing it through the roll

• Removing scraps if necessary and also assisting in setting the height and different passes (steel dies of various sizes) of rolls

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• It needs one to be on their toes

• Need not handle a team

• Local travelling is not a part of this job

• Part-time work and contractual jobs are available in some cities

• Work from home option is not available

Working hours

• Factories usually work for 6 days a week and 8/10 hours every day. This may vary from factory to factory

• Shift system maybe available
