JOB DESCRIPTION 1
The tasks of a Oarsman is expected to perform include:
  • Rowing boats, barges and other water-crafts using oars, sweeps etc. singly and in groups
  • Fixing oars in braces on sides of boat
  • Taking position in boat
  • Pulling oars by hand to propel boat
  • Stopping pulling of oars at destination or when asked by Boatman
WORK ENVIRONMENT 
  • It is a not a desk job
  • Need not handle a team
  • Local travelling is a part of this job
  • Part-time work is not available
  • Work from home option is not available
Working hours
  • Ship usually sails for 5/6 days a week and works for 14/15 hours every day. This may vary from ship to ship
  • Shift system maybe available
