JOB DESCRIPTION 1

The tasks a Runner, Mail is expected to perform include:

  • Collecting and delivering letters and other postal articles from and to different village post offices and postal agencies
  • Collecting the mail bags from the head post office, counting them and acknowledging their receipts
  • Carrying and delivering them to specified post offices or places and obtaining delivery receipts​
  • Collecting outgoing mail bags, counting and acknowledging their receipt and delivering them to the main post office against an acknowledgement

  • It is a field job
  • Need not handle a team
  • Local travelling is a part of this job role
  • Part-time work and contractual jobs are not available
  • Work from home option is not available
Working hours
  • Organizations usually work for 5/6 days a week and 8/9 hours everyday. This may vary from organization to organization
