JOB DESCRIPTION ¹

The tasks a Runner, Mail is expected to perform include:

Collecting and delivering letters and other postal articles from and to different village post offices and postal agencies
Collecting the mail bags from the head post office, counting them and acknowledging their receipts
Carrying and delivering them to specified post offices or places and obtaining delivery receipts
Collecting outgoing mail bags, counting and acknowledging their receipt and delivering them to the main post office against an acknowledgement

WORK ENVIRONMENT ^{1, 2}

It is a field job
Need not handle a team
Local travelling is a part of this job role
Part-time work and contractual jobs are not available
Work from home option is not available

Working hours

Organizations usually work for 5/6 days a week and 8/9 hours everyday. This may vary from organization to organization
