Feeding the compound and fabric to the calendar and performing the coating operation

Working hours are 10/12 hours everyday for 5/6 days a week. This may vary from factory to factory

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING 1

 

Minimum – 10th
Certified training for Operator-Textile Coating (programme aligned to RSC/Q 0728released by Rubber Skill Development Council)
KEY COMPETENCIES 1

 

Knowledge of internal mixing equipment and operations
Familiar with the possible causes of common mixing problems & their remedies
Well-versed with the tolerance levels for various parameters like time, temperature, ram pressure, fill factor, rotor rpm/line and batch weight and their effect on mixed batch
Ability to respond to emergencies e.g. power failures, fire and system failures and manual intervention to avoid disaster
Knowledge of handling different types of materials 
Well-versed with the implications of overheating during mixing and adopting measures like increasing water flow, adjusting nip gap, increasing the number of cuts
Knowledge of abnormalities and what response to make in case of abnormalities in equipment performance 
Well-versed with personal protective equipment for the work area, cleaning equipment, tools, materials and chemicals used, etc.
Knowledge of the process of cleaning the surfaces without causing injury or damage
Familiar with different methods of recording information 
Knowledge of the various documents that need to be maintained 
Well-versed with the procedures for recording damage, breakages, etc.
