JOB DESCRIPTION ¹

The tasks a Web Designer is expected to perform include:

• Providing strategic and sustainable aesthetic to the website that supports business goals, information architecture, customer service applications and brand strategy

• Driving visual recommendations and solutions to both current page type and future redesign efforts

• Translating complex concepts into convincing and compelling visualisations

• Creating original graphics and icons for use on the site and other group projects

• Defining and implementing web design parameters, style guides and visual standards

• Establishing and producing graphic material for use in online advertising

• Promoting services and products

• Building strong collaborative relationships with team and client

• Documenting strategic decisions using diagrams and text

• Documenting design and creation

• Hand-drawing and designing forms where needed

• Manipulating images, styling photos, providing art direction and acquiring photos

WORK ENVIRONMENT ^{9, 1, 5}

• It is a desk job

• May need to handle a team

• Local travelling is not a part of this job role

• Part-time work and contractual jobs are available in some cities

• Work from home option is also available

Working hours

• Organizations usually work for 5/6 days a week and 9/10 hours everyday. This may vary from organization to organization

• Being self-employed is also an option. In this case, the working hours and days will be flexible
