JOB DESCRIPTION ¹

The tasks a Mason Marble, Granite & Stone is expected to perform include:

It is not a desk job
The candidate will supervise a team of Masons Level-3 and other helpers
Local travelling is not a part of this job profile
Part-time work and contractual jobs maybe available

Working hours

Companies usually work for 5/6 days a week and 8/9 hours everyday. This may vary from company to company

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING ¹

Minimum – 8th standard
Certified training for Mason Marble, Granite & Stone (programme aligned to CON/Q0106 job released by Construction Skill Development Council)

KEY COMPETENCIES ¹

Knowledge of basic principles of measurement
Familiar with standard specifications of all grouting tools and materials
Knowledge of different types of liquid polymeric additives
Knowledge of different types of natural stones
Skilled in methods and techniques of preparing bed mortar, cement slurry and cement paste
Knowledge of properties of mortar and mix proportions
Skilled in methods and techniques of finishing and polishing stone

DESIRABLE COMPETENCIES ¹

Training for 12 to 16 weeks to qualify test & assessment by authorized agency for behaviour, knowledge & skill as per all relevant NOS for Level-4
