JOB DESCRIPTION ¹

The tasks a Loading Supervisor is expected to perform include:

Checking and tracking inbound or outbound goods
Recording information regarding the shipment of goods
Allocating work to Loaders and Unloaders
Supervising the loading and unloading of goods
Inspecting the work area and warehouse facilities and equipment periodically

WORK ENVIRONMENT ^{1, 9}

It is not a desk job
Need to handle a team of Loaders, Unloaders and other helpers
Local travelling is not a part of this job role
Part-time work and contractual jobs may be available in some cities
Work from home option is not available

Working hours

Companies usually work for 5/6 days a week and 8/9 hours everyday. This may vary from company to company
Overtime may be required
Shift system is available

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING ¹

Minimum – Class X
Certified training for Loading Supervisor (programme aligned to LSC/Q2314 released by Logistics Skill Council)

KEY COMPETENCIES ¹

Detailed knowledge of the entire loading and unloading process undertaken in a warehouse
Knowledge of loading/unloading methods for different types of goods
Knowledge of product labels to be pasted onto each packing case
Knowledge of technical specifications of inbound/outbound goods
