JOB DESCRIPTION ¹

The tasks a Cracker Operator is expected to perform include:

Preparing cracker machine, tools, equipment and material
Cracking the sorted rubber into smaller pieces for beginning the process of reclaiming rubber
Loading the batches of material into the cracker machine
Confirming the proper working of conveyor, hydraulic ram and control panel during operations
Monitoring the process to achieve the desired dimensions of the material
Monitoring the output material, which is dumped through conveyor
Checking the equipment such as motor, gearbox, control panel, conveyor and teethed rotor encased with wire mesh of different sizes
Carrying out housekeeping, reporting, documentation and quality checks

WORK ENVIRONMENT ¹

It needs one to be on their toes
Need not handle a team
Local travelling maybe a part of this job role
Part-time work and contractual jobs maybe available in some cities
Work from home option is not available

Working hours

Working hours are 10/12 hours everyday for 5/6 days a week. This may vary from factory to factory
Shift system maybe available

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING ¹

Minimum – Class X
Certified training for Cracker Operator (programme aligned to RSC/Q2102 released by Rubber Skill Development Council)

KEY COMPETENCIES ¹

Knowledge of how to weigh the sorted material properly
Well-versed with operating and maintaining the cracker machine

DESIRABLE COMPETENCIES ¹

Training in operation of cracker machine
