JOB DESCRIPTION 1

The tasks a Creel Room Operator is expected to perform include:

  • Inspecting creel stands in the creel room
  • Inspecting each individual spool let off and tensioner
  • Setting up the steel wires spools on creel stands for facilitating drawing of wires through organizer and impression roll, and rubberising through calendar
  • Inspecting brake assembly on each let off
  • Inspecting eye board and organizer rolls
  • Checking if all spools are free-rotating
  • Loading the wire spools on the spindles, drawing wire through eye board and tying them up for use when wire calendar is scheduled to run
  • Using hand tools and mechanical/electrical tools for unloading the old used spools and loading new spools
  • Carrying out housekeeping, reporting, documentation and quality checks​

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING 1
  • Preferably,​ 10th/ITI graduate 
  • Certified training for Creel Room Operator (programme aligned to RSC/Q1003 released by Rubber Skill Development Council)

  • Knowledge of cleanliness and safety requirements for commencing creel room operations
  • Equipped to keep idle creel stands set-up for calendaring operation​
