JOB DESCRIPTION 1

The tasks a Curing Chamber Operator is expected to perform include:

  • Performing proper curing, vulcanisation and drying of the latex rubber products
  • Following curing process as per instructions
  • Ensuring proper heating and air adjustments for curing of the products to attain optimum physical properties
  • Monitoring operational procedures of vulcanizing ovens, vulcanizing chambers and tumble driers in both continuous and batch-wise operations
  • Monitoring various heat generating equipment and ensuring their maintenance
  • Carrying out troubleshooting and rectification work of curing chamber, radiators and fans used
  • Carrying out housekeeping, reporting, documentation and quality checks​

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING 1
  • Preferably, ​10th/ITI graduate 
  • Certified training for Curing Chamber Operator (programme aligned to RSC/Q0214 released by Rubber Skill Development Council)
KEY COMPETENCIES 1
  • Knowledge of latex rubber’s different properties
  • Knowledge of setting parameters of curing chamber
  • In-depth knowledge of vulcanization and crosslinking
  • Equipped to use continuous/bath-operational curing chamber
  • Knowledge of various heating mediums for curing chambers such as steam heating, thermic fluid heating, infrared heating, LNG heating and electric heating
  • Knowledge of various types of heating ovens such as continuous and batch-type oven
