JOB DESCRIPTION 1
The tasks a Dipping Plant Operator is expected to perform include: 
  • Producing various dip products with automatic dipping or batch dipping lines 
  • Carrying out start-up and shutdown procedures of the dipping lines
  • Adding ingredients in the right sequence as per instructions 
  • Following the standard operating procedures for dipping line operation
  • Setting up of the lines with required speed, and required dimensions and weights as per required specifications 
  • Monitoring dip line parameter controls, product dimensions, weight controls as well as other quality requirement standards and controls
  • Carrying out housekeeping, reporting, documentation and quality checks
 
WORK ENVIRONMENT 1
  • It needs one to be on their toes
  • Need not handle a team
  • Local travelling maybe a part of this job role
  • Part-time work and contractual jobs maybe available in some cities
  • Work from home option is not available
 
Working hours
  • Working hours are 10/12 hours everyday for 5/6 days a week. This may vary from factory to factory
  • Shift system maybe available

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING 1
  • Minimum – Class X/ITI
  • Certified training for Dipping Plant Operator (programme aligned to RSC/Q1801 released by Rubber Skill Development Council)
 
KEY COMPETENCIES 1
  • Knowledge of properly weighing latex rubber ingredients
  • Knowledge of operating various dipping machines
  • In-depth knowledge of mixing compounds properly and preparing dispersion and solutions
  • Equipped to conduct QA and QC procedures
  • Knowledge of planning shutdowns of dipping lines periodically for maintenance 
 
DESIRABLE COMPETENCIES 
  • Training in operation of dipping lines
  • Training in testing procedures
