JOB DESCRIPTION 1

The tasks a Dispatch Operator is expected to perform include:

  • Preparing to send the packaged final product to the customer as per the delivery order or order sheet
  • Guiding the helpers in matters concerning the dispatch of the product
  • Arranging for the trolleys/forklift and other equipment required for moving products from one place to another, and for loading on to dispatch vehicle
  • Dispatching order of right products in right quantity through the best mode in the given timeline to the customer with the correct address and contact details
  • Ensuring that all customer specific items (such as number of pieces and their complete identification with all additional items) are in order
  • Ensuring that the proper paper documents (bill, order detail, etc.) are sent with the order
  • Maintaining proper record of the details of fulfilled order such as quantity, time, mode, details of the transport used, courier details and charges, and of the remaining orders to be delivered
  • Informing the customer as well as the concerned authority of the unit about the completion of the dispatch of orders
  • Informing the customer as well as concerned authority about any delay in dispatch
  • Confirming receipt of product at customer’s end
  • Settling any dispute arising out of the order delivery problems with respect to time, quantity, packaging, product, etc.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING 1
  • Preferably, ​10th/ITI graduate 
  • Certified training for Dispatch Operator (programme aligned to RSC/Q1603 released by Rubber Skill Development Council)
KEY COMPETENCIES 1
  • Knowledge of proper dispatch and packing of final products
  • Knowledge of different transport and courier service providers
  • In-depth knowledge of organizing packaged items in a proper way
  • Knowledge of the latest and most cost-effective methods/modes of sending the final products
