JOB DESCRIPTION 1
The tasks a Finishing Operator (Non-Tyre) is expected to perform include: 
  • Inspecting the product for any defect
  • Holding back defective pieces for repair/scrapping
  • Providing final finishing to approved products
  • Getting the approved products ready for storage/dispatch
  • Carrying out housekeeping activities
WORK ENVIRONMENT 1
  • It needs one to be on their toes
  • Need not handle a team
  • Local travelling maybe a part of this job role
  • Part-time work and contractual jobs maybe available in some cities
  • Work from home option is not available
Working hours
  • Working hours are 10/12 hours everyday for 5/6 days a week. This may vary from factory to factory
  • Shift system maybe available

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING 1
  • Minimum – Class X/ITI
  • Certified training for Finishing Operator (Non-Tyre) (programme aligned to RSC/Q1502 released by Rubber Skill Development Council)
KEY COMPETENCIES 1
  • In-depth knowledge of the final finishing process of rubber products
  • Adept at working with finishing tools such as scissor, knives, paint, etc.
  • In-depth knowledge of the process of cleaning, finishing and re-inspection
  • Knowledge of handling finished products properly
  • Knowledge of batch/code marking techniques
