JOB DESCRIPTION 1

The tasks a Mechanic (Engine) is expected to perform include:

  • Providing assistance in engine-related maintenance
  • Supporting the equipment operation by conducting inspections and preventive maintenance​

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING 1
  • Preferably, ITI graduate/diploma in diesel engine mechanics
  • Certified training for Mechanic (Engine) (programme aligned to IES/Q0601 job released by Infrastructure Equipment Skill Council)
KEY COMPETENCIES 1
  • Skilled in diagnosing the problems in an engine
  • Knowledge of manufacturer’s specifications of the engine
  • Knowledge of the lubricant to be used
  • Knowledge of all the hand tools to be used

  • Able to work under pressure
  • Good communication skills
